The Catholic Church has been spending millions of Dollars to Stop legislation Helping Victims.  We know without question that “What Goes Around Comes Around.” There’s even  a new book out there explaining it all (Amazon) The very tricky part is getting arms around how some villains seem to get away with their evil doings for a long time or seemingly forever, before getting caught. When Emerson wrote about it a century ago in his “Essay on Compensation,” he said the outcome is in the seed (thought,word, action) when its planted and will be there when it blooms. He then added that it could take a long time, even many years for that bloom to appear. He might have embellished on what might happen when the perpetrator is not an individual, but rather an institutionalized effort of many in league.

He did not, but for the purpose off this discussion, think Wells Fargo, Volkswagen, the Sackler family’s opioid schemes. How long can it go on then? Ten, twenty, fifty, 100 years? Or can it even go on for centuries until the light finally shines in all the dark corners, as may well be the case with the Catholic Church. Does anybody honestly think that what’s being revealed now, has not been going on forever? Here’s another tidbit to absorb:.

It is a recent report from CBS News about the Catholic Church spending $10.8 million over the past few years to fight the passage of legislation in the northeast to help victims of abuse. Let me take a very deep breath and say that again — even while the accusations piled up — in the face of ever widening testimony about the scope and breadth of the crimes —  in the face of new proclamations from the Pope and others about a new path forward then mumbling the same obfuscations — the begging for forgiveness — the expressions of regret & sorrow for the victims — even through the traumatic revelations wrought by the brilliant, Boston Globe reporting that led to the stunning film “Spotlight” and engulfed even the late and disgraced Cardinal Bernard Law — ongoing throughout the entire Pennsylvania drama of deceit and abuse of more than 1,000 innocents — yes even through all this the Catholic Church was funding continuously, increasing, lobbying efforts and spending more than $10million in the northeast alone to shut down legislation to help victims. Holy moly! Imagine how the Pope and others bellowed when they learned that those numbers had been revealed. The poor messenger!

I know it upsets some people when I say this, and I understand how deeply it can cut so I feel badly about it. But it is becoming more clear every day that the Catholic Church, from Pope on down, has proven itself to be the longest lasting, the most cleverly deceptive, the most prosperous, and the most successful, criminal organization in the history of the world! They are the masters of denial, the cover-up, the mis-direct, the guilt provoke!  They hide in their costumes until attention is diverted then strike in their evil ways. They protect each other with claims that under God’s law they are responsible only to themselves. Their tools of confusion include transfers to other parishes and prostration and confession and guilt. They insinuate themselves into families then devour them from inside. They are the demons’ vicious messengers. The question is…when will we see them for what they are?
